What we do

By 2028, HDN aims to significantly increase socio-economic inclusion for more than 10,000 persons with disabilities across Hirshabelle, through targeted programs, advocacy wins, and stronger local institutions.

Research, Data & Mapping

Evidence That Drives Inclusion

Effective solutions begin with accurate information. In Somalia, the lack of reliable data on disability prevalence and needs often leaves persons with disabilities out of decision-making. HDN is committed to filling this gap by conducting research and data collection that informs policies and programs at both local and national levels.

We carry out disability mapping, establish monitoring systems with disaggregated data, and produce research briefs for governments and development partners. These insights not only highlight systemic barriers but also provide evidence to design stronger, more inclusive services. Through data-driven advocacy, we build the foundation for sustainable, evidence-based change.
