What we do

By 2028, HDN aims to significantly increase socio-economic inclusion for more than 10,000 persons with disabilities across Hirshabelle, through targeted programs, advocacy wins, and stronger local institutions.

Advocacy, Legal Aid & Social Inclusion

Voices for Rights and Equality

Discrimination and stigma continue to silence many persons with disabilities in Somalia. HDN works to change attitudes and policies by amplifying voices that are too often ignored. We run public awareness campaigns to challenge negative perceptions and create a culture of acceptance.

Our advocacy extends to policy engagement, where we push for inclusive laws, employment quotas, and social protection measures. Legal aid services provide direct support to individuals facing discrimination or rights violations. By combining grassroots activism with legal and institutional change, we strengthen the foundations of equality and inclusion.
